Mother's Day Photos for Jay & Katie

Jay and Katie became parents to precious Jillian 2 months ago.  I was honored that they asked me to take newborn photos of Jill when she was only 3 days old. 

Now, I am thankful that I get to show you some more pictures of them with Jill and their moms (and Jay's dad) for this special Mother's Day weekend.  It was a gorgeous evening with beautiful lighting over the foothills and we all had so much fun taking these bittersweet photos. 

Why bittersweet?  Well, Katie was diagnosed with breast cancer this past week.  She isn't even 30 yet and will begin chemo in a few short weeks.  It is a blessing to see how Jay and Katie are handling parenthood along with this devastating news.  Their faith in God is rock solid and they have a wonderful support system around them.

Three Generations

Repeat customers make me so happy.  Having good friends that I get to visit with as I take photos of them makes me even more happy!

Melody asked me to take some pictures of her beautiful girls with her mom for Mother's Day.  Coral, Reese, and Faith love their Nana and it was special to get to see them all interacting together the other day. 

 

 

 Baby Faith is 8 months old and the first baby to try out my new tub that I just bought.  She was too stinkin' cute in it too!!!!

I met another amazing family through another referral!  Yay!  Thank you, Mary Katherine!!!

Baby Quinn is about to turn 7 months old and she is a little cutie pie!  She was a tough nut to crack at the beginning of our session, but eventually her Mommy and Daddy got some smiles out of her.  She is already crawling at 6 1/2 months old so I'm sure she keeps her parents on their toes!

John Matthew (3 months!)

Do you remember that sweet newborn that I took photos of in January?  Well, his parents signed up for a "One Year Package" so I will get the opportunity to see this precious boy grow over the next year!  I couldn't believe how big he had gotten in just 3 short months.  He is so alert and recently found his voice so he was "talking" quite a bit.  So cute!!!
